In this research project, I collaborated with my mentor, Edgar Muniz, to identify trends, interpret psychological motives, and discuss defense mechanisms that are seen in women in America. I analyzed the psychological motives of women in film to connect to the internal barriers that women in society undergo. ​This literary analysis research paper utilizes Jungian, Freudian, and de Beauvoir principles to explain the behavioral tendencies of women.
